Carbonite only uses Internet Explorer, which is not working on my computer so I am paying for back-up even though it isn't doing it. The agents knew the cause of my problem, they knew how to fix my problem, but under company policy are not allowed to actually help the customer get the service they are paying for.

This is a pathetic company policy that was obviously brought about by their keen legal team of advisors who chose risk and liability mitigation at the expense of the customer. Think about it.

I am paying them for a service I cannot receive. Isn't there something wrong with that?

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $200.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.

so... someone told you that IE is required in order for your backup to function, but you don't care enough to fix it?

and yet you say your backup is super important. strange.

You freely acknowledge that IE is not working on your computer. Why is it Carbonite's responsibility to fix it?

If you go to get new tires on your car, would you ask them to fix your alternator?

I say that ironically but you probably would.

Fix your *** and then your *** will work. problem solved
