Checking on status of backup

Recovery of my files recovery was stopped Sunday. Looks like my subscription may have run out by the note I saw. My old computer died and I got a new one Saturday and proceeded to download my files. Need help.

I simply just wanted a refund that I never authorized and to cancel services that I did not think I had because I changed computers. I would actually give the company 0 (zero) stars. They are pathetic and can never be reached!

I was informed my card was outdated so I paid on another card. Then apparently you got it paid on BOTH cards. I am now signed up for 4 years. I am 75 years old. Four years is way too far out.

I cannot get a customer service person to cancel my double payment on my mastercard. It is for 2022 to 2024. I want the 2020 to 2022 on the visa card you notified me did NOT work to remain billed.

Find another means to back up

Trying to retrieve is a nightmare.

Try to talk with someone. It isn't going to happen.

I signed up for another year in December for $149.99.

In February I received an offer for 3 years at $235.18. I said ok, but then I tried to find out if this was going to add to my December addition and I can't contact anyone. The "Customer" line where you type in a question does not have any answers. I asked legitimate questions.

No answers. I even made up questions. Still not answers. It's a joke.

On top of all of this as I'm trying to find a phone number to speak with someone I am seeing their ads for $7 per month.

Why am I paying so much for.

A few years ago I had a crash and could not get help getting restored. I finally figured out how to get part of it but a lot was lost. Now I back up daily to additional hard drives. Easy to access and I know the info is there.

Seems like Carbonite is deleting stored info at their leisure.

Customer service doesn't exist. Don't believe me, try to talk with someone before you sign up.

I'm done.

Former reseller gobbled up by Carbonite. They said they'd honor previous rates but didn't. Support would not respond. Cancelled and they continued billing. Nothing good to say about them.

My credit card was hacked twice (through 2 credit cards) and I needed to give carbonite a new card number, but couldn't change my password to get to my account. I finally got through to them today.

DON'T LOAD THIS SOFTWARE ON YOUR COMPUTER

I used the trial subscription and the day it expired, I lost data on a VERY important EXCEL spread sheet. I called them and they said they did in fact have the file on their servers and if I signed up I could get it copied back down to my computer. Out of desperation, I signed up and copied the file back down to my computer and went on business as usual. I spoke to my boss and said I was not comfortable with Carbonite although they had been referred by our computer tech. I felt the data loss was more than coincidental. Today I uninstalled Carbonite and afterward am not able to open up any of my EXCEL or Word documents. Carbonite support said it was not their problem and I would need to contact Microsoft. When I asked who is going to pay for that! They said it was NOT their problem. The tech did confirm that my files they have on their server are fine and can be opened. When I started a restore of my files from their site after reinstalling their software - their system says it will take 3 days to restore my data!!! I don't have that much on my computer but what I do have is critical. They hold you hostage after you load their software on your computer and you will NEVER be able to get rid of them.

I used Carbonite for years, then my computer was hacked and my billing program erased. I learned that anything that is not Microsoft isn't backed up. I was also billed after cancelling, was told that I was reimbursed, yet not reimbursement.

Customer service is non-existent. We can't log into our corporate account because it says we have the wrong password (which we don't). Tried to re-set it and it immediately takes me to a screen saying "We are unable to complete your request at this time." This has been going on for several days. I tried to call and the recording said they will call me back when I'm next in line. They called me back and the recorded voice said, "Try again later. Goodbye!" Same thing both days. They absolutely suck!
